
Our online resource for New Zealand consumers having trouble paying their power bill, first published in February 2025, has been updated. With all the work underway by ERANZ members and others, some content has changed, and we’ve also found some new sources to include.
‘Having trouble paying your power bill?’ introduces various sources of support with ways for consumers to find out more online. Some of these come from the big companies that generate electricity and/or sell it to consumers. The government or community organisations provide others.
ERANZ members fund the resource, and it is just one of the ways they help New Zealanders struggling to afford the electricity they need to have warm and healthy homes.
Please download and share the updated version of the resource as widely as you can, or you could add it to the resources you share with consumers in hardship.
